Introducing Climate Cafe Facilitator Training: A New Opportunity to Support Climate Mental Health 🌍

I am beyond excited to announce the launch of a brand new initiative—Climate Cafe Facilitator Training, the first of its kind in Canada! This free, virtual training is an incredible opportunity for anyone passionate about both mental health and climate action.

🌱 What is a Climate Cafe?

Climate Cafes are peer-led, supportive spaces where people can come together to talk about their emotions related to the climate crisis, including eco-anxiety and climate grief. These gatherings aim to provide a space for emotional well-being while building community resilience in the face of the climate crisis.

The session will equip you with the essential skills to facilitate Climate Cafes—spaces where individuals can process their climate-related emotions in a supportive, inclusive setting.

Whether you're an educator, climate organizer, mental health advocate, or simply someone looking to create safe spaces for others, this training will provide you with the tools to guide meaningful conversations that prioritize emotional well-being within the climate movement.

What You Can Expect

By the end of this training, you’ll have the confidence to:

  • Lead your own Climate Cafe and host safe, welcoming spaces for climate-related conversations.

  • Gain a deeper understanding of how eco-anxiety and climate grief impact mental health and well-being.

  • Develop facilitation skills for guiding group discussions with care, empathy, and inclusivity.

  • Become part of a growing movement focused on mental health and climate resilience.

Announcing the Climate Wellness Network Launch!

In addition to the training, I’ll be unveiling the plans for the Climate Wellness Network, an exciting new initiative launching in the coming weeks. The network will provide a national platform for mental health in the context of climate change, helping people create community-led spaces for emotional support and resilience.
